Cairns Dolphins & Marlins v Mackay 6 July 2025
Another split round - but the other way around this time, the Dolphins falling just short against the Meteorettes and the Marlins getting the jump on the Meteors for a much-needed win.
The Dolphins game was close most of the way through, as you would expect from teams that are next to each other on the ladder. Down a couple of players, which could have made a difference, but we don't use excuses. Mackay played very well!
The Marlins are a long way off Mackay on the ladder, but everything just seemed to click and although the final margin was only 3 points, that's all it takes to get a tick in the Win column.
